Serie A club Lazio have officially announced the capture of Anderlecht captain Lucas Biglia.
After weeks of speculation the Biancocelesti have wrapped up the signing of the 27-year-old Argentine international from the Belgium champions.
Lazio made the announcement on the clubs official website on Wednesday, stating that defensive midfielder has signed a five-year deal at the Stadio Olimpico.
After spells with Argentinos Juniors and Independiente in Argentina, he moved to Anderlecht in 2006.
He impressed with the Belgian giants, becoming a mainstay in the Paars-wit midfield as he appeared in 295 matches during his seven years with the club.
During his seventh and final season Biglia made 36 league appearances while scoring give goals as he helped lead Anderlecht to another Jupiler Pro League title.
