According to Pescara’s sporting director, Lazio are interested in acquiring the services of Pescara duo Ante Vukusic and Marco Capuano.

Apparently Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic personally requested to the board that the Coppa Italia winners target at least Vukusic as Lazio look to build on a campaign that showed much promise until a late slump at the end of the season.

“There has been contact between [Lazio president Claudio] Lotito and [Pescara club president Daniele] Sebastiani,” Giorgio Repetto said to La Lazio Siamo Noi.

“Capuano is a player we have considered proposing and it is an idea Lazio are not displeased with, and Vukusic is a player requested by Petkovic as he likes him a lot.”

Vukusic, a striker, joined the Delfini from Hajduk Split last summer and struggled in his first season in Italy, scoring a solitary goal in 19 appearances for the relegated club.

Capuano has been highly regarding since graduating from Pescara’s youth system, and the Italian Under-21 international enjoyed a promising first season in the top flight last year.

Repetto also suggested that any deal would involve some sort of player exchange, expressing interest in out-of-favour Giuseppe Sculli and striker Libor Kozak.
