HernanesLazio midfielder Hernanes is looking forward to next year’s World Cup after recently securing the Confederations Cup in his home country.

The Lazio man has been excited about his progression into the Brazilian national team and has been featuring in more important fixtures lately.

He said: “I can give a quality contribution to this team, I have been called in regularly and it has gone well. This is the first step for me, I tried to carve out a space in national team and I am succeeding. I do not think have a guaranteed place, football is rapidly changing and we must continue to work in a year where many things can happen. “

Hernanes knows that in order to keep his place in the side with players like Ronaldinho trying to get in he must continue to work hard and focus.

“I was always very determined, I always had a strong will, its a dream to play in the Brazilian national team, a very difficult goal. But when I put something in my head, no one can stop me. This has always been my dream and I would never allow anyone to turn it off. “

The midfielder was used in all five games by head coach Scolari in the Confederations Cup.

Hernanes currently has 17 caps for Brazil scoring 2 goals in those appearances.
