Leandro Greco has completed his transfer from Olympiacos to Livorno, after the former Roma midfielder passed a medical last week.
The news of the signing came as no surprise as Livorno’s sporting director Stefano Capozzucca last week revealed that the completion of the transfer would take place this week.
A statement published on Livorno’s official website announced the acquisition:
“A. S. Livorno Calcio announces that it has acquired outright, the player Leandro Greco who is joining from Olympiakos Piraeus. Greco will be presented to the press tomorrow, Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 12 pm [CET], in the meeting room of the Tirrenia training centre.”
Twenty-seven-year old Greco joins Livorno after spending a season at Olympiacos where he helped the team win last season’s Superleague title.
