Artem Milevskiy UkraineLivorno president Aldo Spinelli has revealed that the potential transfer of Ukrainian forward Artem Milevskiy to the Tuscan club has stalled and will not be completed.

The Dynamo Kiev striker has been linked with a move to the Amaranto, but it appears as though Spinelli has finally lost his patience in waiting for the player to accept the move.

“Forget Milevskiy, as we have already communicated with his agent. The terms have expired,” he told Radio Sportiva.

Spinelli then went on to talk about the upcoming campaign, Livorno’s first in Serie A since the 2009/10 season.

“We are pleased to have confirmed our bomber Paulinho, and we hope he goes into double figures in Serie A. You will not find many players like him around. We are also pleased at having kept [Federico] Dionisi and [Luca] Siligardi.

“Between the coach and the players I have a bunch of rookies in Serie A. I am the only veteran. I hope that the boys have the understanding that the league must be addressed with a lot of concentration.

“We hope to start well, it is a big advantage playing at home even if Roma is a tough team, we hope to start with three points.

“We did three years of purgatory, now we want to stay in Serie A for at least three years in a row, up to 2015 which is the year of Livorno’s centenary.

“The lads have the desire to continue the form from last season, the coach [Davide Nicola] gives them a winning mentality. We will face every game with nothing to fear.”
