Incoming Roma defender Douglas Maicon has admitted he is waiting only on the results from his medical before officially joining the club from Manchester City.
The ex-Inter man does not feature in Manuel Pellegrini’s plans at the City of Manchester Stadium and as a result has been allowed to leave to return to Serie A.
He was met by fans in the morning at the capital’s Fiumicino airport where he was happy to pose for pictures with the red and yellow scarf before saying: “I am a bit tired from the trip but I am happy to be in Rome.
“I only wait now on the results of my medical tests.”
The Brazilian will sign a two-year deal with the Giallorossi worth €3 million which will be confirmed when he signs on the dotted line.
