Oscar Diamanti agent of Udinese midfielder Alexander Merkel says he fully expects his client to remain at Stadio Friuli this summer.
Rumors have been abound that the German under-20 international was set to join Atalanta.
“At the moment there is nothing. He [Merkel] will remain in Udine and then we will see in the future,” Diamanti told Tuttomercatoweb.
“Atalanta, as far as I am concerned there is no interest, I do not know where these rumors come from.”
Merkel only joined the Zebrette from Genoa in January this year.
