New Inter signing Diego Laxalt has revealed his excitement at finally joining up with his new squad.
The Uruguayan starlet signed for the Nerazzurri in January but has only joined up with his new squad this week after taking part in the FIFA U-20 World Cup for Uruguay.
Despite the delay, the former Defensor Sporting player was overjoyed to finally land in Italy and begin his adventure with the Italian giants.
“I am very happy to be here,” he told fcinternews.it.
“Forza Inter and I hope for the best for the upcoming campaign.”
His agent, Vincenzo D’Ippolito, stated that his client will remind Italians of former Juventus great Edgar Davids due to his playing style.
“He is like Davids in how he plays, he has something of him. He is a very young player but he has quality. Now it will be up to Inter to decide if he is ready but I think he will carve out an important spot for himself.”
