Pescara starlet eager to join Porto

Juan Quintero PescaraPescara midfielder Juan Fernando Quintero has admitted that he’s looking forward to joining Porto.

The 20-year-old has been linked with clubs such as Udinese and Inter since the start of 2013, but it has been reported that the Portistas are set to buy the player for €10 million plus playing bonuses.

Quintero spoke to Portuguese newspaper A Bola about his eagerness to start with the club.

“I want to get started quickly with Porto,” said the Colombian talent.

“I aim to do everything in the best way.

“God has willed that my expectations were met.”

The youngster was loaned out to the Delfini for the 2012-13 season by Colombian side Atletico Nacional and has since been impressing European scouts during his time in Serie A.

Quintero scored one goal in his 17 league appearances for Pescara last campaign, and was named Player of the Tournament in the 2013 South American Youth Championship after leading his country to the title.
