Étienne Capoue - ToulouseReports in Italy are suggesting that Roma will move to secure the services of Toulouse defensive midfielder Étienne Capoue should a move for Radja Nainggolan of Cagliari not be completed.

With a little uncertainty surfacing over the transfer of the Belgium international it seems that new Giallorossi coach Rudi Garcia has looked to his homeland for alternatives and identified the 24-year-old as their second option.

However, the French international is also attracting interest from newly promoted Ligue 1 side Monaco so the Roma club may have to work quickly to conclude a deal.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport any doubt surrounding their move for Nainggolan will be resolved by the weekend, whether that is for better or worse, allowing Roma to decide their next move.

Capoue has spent his entire career with Toulouse and has been an integral part of their side for the last five seasons making nearly 200 appearances for the club and was rewarded with his first senior cap for France during the 2012-13 season.
