The charges are in relation to two matches: Bari 0-1 Treviso in May 2008 and Salernitana 3-2 Bari from May 2009.
The Belgium international is just one of twenty men who face sanctions from the disciplinary panel of the Italian Football Federation.
Massimo Ganci and Cosimo D’Angelo received the longest of the bans at four years apiece.
Gianluca Galasso received the same length as Gillet, whilst Raffaele Bianco, Simone Bonomi, Francesco Caputo, Daniele De Vezze, Luca Fusco, Stefano Guberti, Vitali Kutuzov, Alessandro Parisi, Ivan Rajcic and Vincenzo Santoruvo were banned for three years and six months while the remaining six face six-month suspensions.
Nicola Strambelli and Willian Pianu were cleared of all wrongdoing.
Several others reached plea bargains.
Bari will be penalized with the loss of a point in the upcoming 2013-14 season.
