Adem Ljajic - FiorentinaAtletico Madrid have reportedly abandoned their pursuit of Fiorentina forward Adem Ljajic after learning he has a deal to join AC Milan.

The Serbian front man, whose contract expires next summer, has been linked with moves to the Rossoneri, Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur, but it seems he has already agreed a move to the San Siro, though, without his club’s knowledge.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Ljajic’s agent Fali Ramadaani and Atletico executive Andrea Berta have tried to find a way of cancelling the agreement with the Milanese giants, but the efforts of everyone at the Spanish capital club have been in vain.

As a consequence, the prospect of the Serbian international touching down in Madrid seems to have disappeared, despite the strong will of the player to join Los Colchoneros.

Ljajic, who turns 22 next month, has scored 16 goals in 87 appearances for the Viola since moving from Partizan Belgrade in 2010.
