Valter Birsa TorinoAC Milan are still waiting to finalise an exchange deal involving Mali international Bakaye Traore and Genoa wing-man Valter Birsa.

After successfully reaching the draw for the group stages of the Champions League with their 3-0 playoff victory over PSV Eindhoven, the Rossoneri are looking to make some last-minute moves on the market to strengthen the squad.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Slovenian international Birsa will not sign for the Rossoneri on Thursday as Milan will instead wait for Traore to reach an agreement with Genoa before the move is made official.

The swap deal will reportedly still be completed, with an announcement expected in the coming days, but the two players will have to wait before trading places at their respective clubs.

While Traore only managed nine appearances in total for Milan in the 2012/13 season, Birsa spent the year on loan at Torino scoring two goals in 14 matches for the Granata.
