Luiz Gustavo - Bayern MunichChampions League holders Bayern Munich have reportedly rejected an offer from Inter to take Brazilian midfielder Luiz Gustavo to the San Siro this summer.

Last week it was suggested that the Nerazzurri and city rivals AC Milan were both interested in the 26-year-old but it would seem that Il Biscione have made their move for the Brazilian international.

However, with Inter lacking the necessary funds to purchase outright, Sky Sports Italia have reported that they proposed a loan deal to the Bundesliga club, only for it to be rejected immediately.

It is believed that Bayern are expecting offers in the region of €18 million for the defensive midfielder and is probably more than either Milan based club can afford.

Whilst it has been suggested that the Nerazzurri may make one last attempt to secure his signature, temporarily or not, it looks unlikely that a deal will be struck.

Gustavo made 36 appearances in all competitions and scored four times as Bayern won the first treble in their history.
