Former Juventus striker Vincenzo Iaquinta is hoping to find a new club in Serie A after his contract with the Bianconeri expired earlier this summer.
The 33-year-old World Cup winner has spent his entire career in Italy, most notably with Udinese and Juventus, and has admitted that he would rather not move abroad.
“There are a lot of clubs who are focusing on youngsters right now,” Iaquinta told tuttomercatoweb.com.
“However, I’m just training in Reggio Emilia to make sure that I’m in good shape. I’m waiting for a team to call.”
The striker also refuted claims that he has been in contact with newly promoted Serie A side Livorno.
“A move to Livorno? No, I haven’t been in touch with them,” he added. “Abroad? I don’t know, I hope to find something in Italy.”
