Alejandro-Gomez-CataniaAlejandro Gomez has finalized his move from Catania to Ukrainian side Metalist Kharkiv for a reported fee of €7 million, the Sicilian club have announced.

The Argentine winger has attracted the attention of Inter, Genoa and Atlético Madrid but signed a four-year deal with the Ukrainians, though, there is a €12m release clause in the contract.

The 25-year-old  joined Catania in 2010 from Argentine club San Lorenzo, went on to play 106 league games for Gli Elifanti, scoring 16 goals.

After thriving as part of Catania’s Argentine contingent, Gomez will not be alone at Metalist, as they already possess six of his compatriots.
