Hellas Verona midfielder Jorginho has admitted he was left flattered by AC Milan’s interest in him, but reiterated he is fully committed to giving his best for his current club.
The Brazilian born Italian player enjoyed a stellar season with Verona in Serie B and has attracted interest from several Premier League, along with the Rossoneri, but he has reaffirmed his commitment to the Gialloblu.
“In the beginning it is always difficult, there are so many new players. But we are working hard and will improve.” Jorginho told Sky Sport Italia.
“It is curious to be playing the first game of the season against Milan, but it’s a match like all the others. I hope to be ready and to do well,
“I’m happy that my name is linked to big clubs, as it reflects on the work I’ve done at Verona. Will I stay? That’s a good question, but yes, I am staying.”
