Pavel Nedved JuventusJuventus director Pavel Nedved has responded strongly to AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri’s recent comments that the Bianconeri need to take themselves less seriously by stating they only care about winning.

The Bianconeri legend enjoyed a stellar eight year spell with the Italian giants and is currently on the board of directors at the Turin club.

The former Czech international clearly didn’t see the humour with the Milan coach’s jibe that Juventus needed to lighten up.

“I’m always calm,” the tactician had said in an interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport. “It’s just that Juve took one or two of my jokes a little too seriously.

“Someone over there should study humour. I’m lucky enough to be from Livorno. Humour comes naturally to me.”

However Nedved wasn’t amused.

“Our creed here is to be winners, not to be nice,” he told Sport Mediaset.

“We take everything seriously here, being seen as pleasant is not our aim, being successful is.”
