Carlos Tevez - JuventusJuventus striker Carlos Tevez has admitted that the Bianconeri’s training regimen is the toughest he’s faced as a professional footballer.

The 29-year-old Argentinian international was signed from Premier League side Manchester City during this summer’s transfer window and feels that it will take him some time to get adjusted to manager Antonio Conte’s methods.

“[To be honest], I haven’t worked this hard since I was [at my first professional club], Boca Juniors,” he told Juventus’ official website.

“I’ve been training really hard and so it’s perfectly normal to be exhausted. However, Conte is really well-prepared and places a lot of importance on tactics, so I’m trying to pay close attention to his system and gain an understanding of exactly what he wants me to do on the pitch.”

Despite losing both of their pre-season friendlies so far, Tevez is optimistic about the start of the upcoming season, both on a professional and personal level.

“Our main objective is to be ready for the Supercoppa Italiana on August 18th, and matches such as the one against [L.A.] Galaxy are really helpful to help us prepare.

“And, [with regards] to my new manager, I’m a good person and I’m sure we will get along fine.”
