Burak Yilmaz - GalatasarayLazio are being linked with a swoop for Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz.

However, the Coppa Italia winners will have to battle it out with English giants Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea for the 28-year-old Turkish international’s signature.

As reported by La Repubblica, Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito’s plan is clear, with the club having to sell before they can make any concrete offer.

Fringe players Giuseppe Sculli, Albano Bizzarri, Marius Stankevicius and Matuzalem will be shipped off to raise cash, as well as Michael Ciani and Libor Kozak who have attracted admiring glances from overseas teams.

With the money raised from the sale of these players, as well as the amount saved by taking them off the club’s wage bill, Lazio will be able to seriously consider making an offer for the attacker, and an initial loan deal with a right to buy is being mooted.

Lotito has a good relationship with Galatasaray officials and could use this to his advantage in negotiations for the player.

Yilmaz is a prolific striker, scoring an impressive 34 goals in 47 official games last season for club and country, also laying on nine assists for his teammates.
