Livorno sign midfielder from Catania

Livorno’s transfer activity is set to continue with the club singing defensive midfielder Marco Biagianti from Catania.

A statement on the club’s website confirmed the acquisition of the 29-year-old:

“A. S. Livorno Calcio officially announce that they have completed the signing of the player: Marco Biagianti (midfielder, born in 1984) from Catania Calcio.”

Biagianti joins Livorno after spending seven years in Sicily, the midfielder was presented at a press conference on the 29th August, where he spoke about Leaving Catania and facing new challenges at Livorno.

“Before I came here, I said goodbye to my former teammates, I thank [Livorno’s] President [Aldo] Spinelli and Livorno, a team I have wanted to join for some time and they initiated the talks.”

“After seven years at a team, I am now ready to get back into the game,” Biagianti added.

Finally the midfielder was asked about Livorno’s chances of avoiding relegation.

“Survival with Livorno should not be a dream but a reality that needs to be reached as soon as possible, I believe in our goal,” Biagianti concluded.
