Cagliari midfielder Radja Nainggolan believes that his team deserved their win over Atalanta this past weekend.
The Isolani came from behind in their first match of the new Serie A season against the Orobici and won 2-1, with the 25-year-old scoring the first equalising goal for his club.
Nainggolan spoke on the official Cagliari website about the victory and insisted that his team put in the right work to deserve it.
“I think it was a deserved victory,” said the Belgian international, who’s been the subject of multiple transfer speculations this summer.
“We dominated for the 90 minutes and I think it’s remarkable because Atalanta is an excellent team.”
The Rossoblu now play their home games at the Stadio Is Arenas, as their normal home venue, the Stadio Sant’Elia, has been closed due to safety concerns.
“Is there a possibility of us being able to return to the Sant’Elia? I don’t know, but we look forward to playing in front of our home audience again.”
