Napoli continue to monitor Martin Skrtel’s situation at Liverpool and could be set to make another bid as the Reds edge closer to the signing of Mamadou Sakho.
The Partenopei are still in the market for another defender and have been linked with the Slovakian international for most of the summer.

With Rafa Benitez eager to reunite with the defender he signed while at Anfield, the Partenopei could be set for one last ditch effort to sign the 28-year-old.
Skrtel made 33 appearances in all competitions for the Reds last season scoring twice.
