Luigi VitaleNapoli and Serie B club Juve Stabia are currently finalising a deal that will see defender Luigi Vitale return to his hometown.

Despite never making a senior appearance for the club the 25-year-old had spent his formative years with Le Vespe joining them in 1996 before his departure to Avelino six years later.

With little chance of any playing time in Naples next season Alfredo Pedulla reports that the Partenopei have agreed to sell the full-back to his hometown club.

After moving to Naples in 2005 the left-back has spent the latter part of his career with loan spells at fellow Italian sides Lanciano, Livorno, Bologna and finally Ternana last season.

His time with Ternana last season proved particularly fruitful for the man who can also operate on the left of midfield, as he netted an impressive 10 goals in 23 league appearances for the Rossoverdi.

However, after nearly 10 years connected with the Partenopei, he seems destined to exit making just 28 league appearances and scoring once.
