Daniele Cacia VeronaDespite reported interest from South America, the agent of Hellas Verona striker Daniele Cacia has insisted that the Italian will remain with the Gialloblu to test himself in Serie A.

After 24 goals in 29 Serie B appearances for the Mastini last term agent Francesco Romano believed that the 31-year-old deserved the chance to display his talents in the Italian top flight even if negotiations for a new contract could prove difficult.

“Daniele will remain with Verona, he wants to play his part in Serie A after everything he has done in past seasons,” Romano told TuttoLatina.com.

“However, I believe that for a newly promoted club, it is difficult in this economy to begin negotiations with Cacia.”

Romano also denied that the Italian could return to Serie B even with a side of Palermo’s stature.

“With less than sensational plot twists, he will not return to Serie B, even to a club like that of Palermo.”
