Matej Vydra - WatfordWest Bromwich Albion coach Steve Clarke has revealed that he’s honoured to welcome Udinese striker Matej Vydra to the club.

The 21-year-old officially joined the Premier League side from the Zebrette on a season-long loan deal on Tuesday.

After having an impressive run while on loan at Watford last campaign, where he scored 20 goals in his 41 league appearances for the club, Vydra was keen to prove himself in the Premier League this season.

Clarke spoke about his faith in the Udinese youngster and believes that he’ll fit in fine at West Brom.

“I am honoured to welcome Matej to our club,” said the tactician.

“He had a great season with Watford and we believe that he has the quality to score just as many goals at a higher level.

“I hope that he can confirm this thought in the course of the upcoming season.

“We followed the player throughout the last campaign and we’ve had very good relations with him, both as a player and as a person.”
