Former AC Milan and Roma forward Bojan Krkic has revealed that his style of play isn’t best suited for Italian football, though he is still grateful for his time in Serie A.

The 23-year-old, who is currently on loan at Ajax from Barcelona, will be facing off against former teams Barca and Milan in the group stage of the Champions League, with the first match coming against the Spanish side on Wednesday.

Bojan spoke to mundodeportivo.com about his Champions League opponents and the two seasons he spent playing in Serie A.

“To play against them makes me neither happy or upset,” said the Spaniard.

“Our rivals are both difficult and fascinating and I’m excited to start the tournament.

“Do I regret playing in Serie A? No. On the contrary.

“Whenever I make a decision, I think it’s the one that’s best for me. Once it’s made, I do everything to learn the best I can.

“Playing football in Italy is not the best for me, though I played at two great clubs.

“I grew as a player and a person, I’ve improved tactically, and I’ve met some interesting people.

“I’m very satisfied with my two years at Roma and AC Milan.”
