Gino Peruzzi Velez SarsfieldDespite arriving at Catania while recovering from an injury Argentine defender Gino Peruzzi is focused on a return to full fitness while hoping for a spot in the Argentine national team for next summers World Cup finals.

After becoming the 13th Argentinean in the Elefanti’s squad, the 21-year-old expects to be available for selection in a month and has insisted that his fellow countryman will help him adapt to his new surroundings.

“I’m happy, the city is very beautiful and the Argentines will help me to acclimate,” Peruzzi told Tuttomercatoweb.

“I will give everything to recover: the injury is not serious, I hope to be available within a month.

“The World Cup, yes, it would be nice to go and I hope to receive the call.”

The Serie A club paid Velez Sarsfield €3.4 million to secure the services of the man who can also play in midfield, and will be hoping to get him on the pitch as soon as possible.
