Innocent Emeghara was extremely happy having scored his first goals for his new club, as Livorno defeated Sassuolo on Sunday evening.
The former Siena striker also had words for his teammate Paulinho who is reportedly close to joining Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.
“We played really well,” he told Sky Sports Italia, “and I hope this continues. I am happy for my two goals but the main aim is to keep Livorno in Serie A.
With regards to Paulinho, the forward commented, “I hope he stays here with us. We worked hard and played well together.”
Emeghara joined Siena from French side Lorient last January, before going on to score seven goals in 17 appearances last season. He joined Livorno from the Tuscan side last week.
