Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez is set to miss the next six weeks of action while midfielder Juan Cuadrado could return to the Viola lineup in 21 days.

The duo were injured during the Gigliati’s disappointing 1-1 draw with Cagliari on Sunday, with initial reports suggesting that Gomez could be out for the next 2-3 months due to a knee ligament injury.

However the club eased those fears on Monday by stating that the former Bayern Munich star will be out for the next six to seven weeks.

The news is even better for Cuadrado as he is expected to only miss the next three weeks after dislocating his shoulder.

Initial reports suggested that the Colombian was set to miss over a month but luckily Vincenzo Montella will be able to welcome him back to the first team before that.
