Burat Yilmaz GalatasarayIn the last couple of days, Lazio have been close of signing Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz, however the Turks are not yet willing to sell their striker.

The Biancocelesti have been in negotiations with the Turkish club for Yilmaz, who has scored 26 goals in 32 games in last season.

However, according to LaLazioSiamoNoi.it, Lazio were having difficulties with the signing as they only could offer €8 million, while Gala are reportedly after a fee closer to €15m.

Furthermore, Galatasaray president Unal Aysal made a statement to Turkish media yesterday afternoon, that they will use every power in trying to keep their main striker.

“The news circulating on Yilmaz is untrue,” Aysal said. “We have made our proposal on the payment methods, but Lazio did not accept.

“Burak said yes to Lazio? It’s not true, he is our player and we want him to stay with us”.

The Biancocelesti are now thought to be focusing on PSV Eindhoven striker Matavz instead, who scored 23 goals in 49 games last season in the Eredivisie signing if the Yilmaz deal doesn’t go through.
