Juan Pablo Carrizo InterPablo Sabbag, agent of Inter goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo, has revealed that the player rejected offers from other clubs this summer in order to stay with the Nerazzurri.

The 29-year-old, who joined the Nerazzurri from Lazio earlier this year, apparently had a number of offers this summer, but chose to stay at Inter as a backup goalkeeper in order to continue improving.

Sabbag spoke to FcInterNews.it about his client’s situation at the club and praised coach Walter Mazzarri.

“Carrizo is calm at Inter,” said the agent. “He has two years on his new contract, which he just signed a few months ago, and everything is calm right now from this point of view.

“He’s the second choice goalkeeper at Inter, behind [Samir] Handanovic. He knows how the hierarchy goes, but he still works hard every day to do his best.

“His will is to play, but also to improve.

“Everything is going good with Mazzarri. He’s a great coach who makes a strong point with what he says to the players.

“It makes the players feel like they’re always important.

“Carrizo had offers in Italy, specifically from Serie A teams, and also abroad, but he preferred to stay in Milan.”
