Nainggolan - CagliariJuventus could make a move for Cagliari midfielder Radja Nainggolan in January after failing to land the Belgian in the closing hours of the transfer window on Monday.

The Bianconeri’s interest in the 25-year-old was widely reported but Isolani president Massimo Cellino and Juventus general director Beppe Marotta failing to reach an agreement for the player.

Personal terms were reported to have already been agreed between Nainggolan and the champions for €1.5 million per season, but Cellino’s valuation of €20m was not met by Marotta.

However, Tuttosport reports that an agreement between the two clubs was not far off and both are willing to return to negotiations during the next transfer window in January 2014.

Nainggolan has been with Cagliari for three-and-a-half seasons, having moved to the Sardinian club from Piacenza in January 2010.
