Biabiany - ParmaParma sporting director Pietro Leonardi has clarified the positions of Jonathan Biabiany, Jaime Valdes and Gabriel Paletta after the Ducali were able to ward off interest in the trio during the summer transfer window.

Biabiany in particular was the subject of some last minute interest from champions Juventus, but Leonardi confirmed that the Ducali did not receive a formal offer from the Bianconeri for the 25-year-old.

However, he did state that the club were considering the Frenchman’s future in expectation of a last minute offer.

“[The future of] Biabiany was considered until the last day, even if we have never spoken with Juventus,” Leonardi told Teleducato.

“We also never discussed Valdes with Torino.”

Paletta then commented on Argentine defender Paletta, who had been linked with a move to AC Milan. The 50-year-old director stated that despite the interest the Gialloblu expect the former Liverpool defender to remain in Emilia-Romagna.

“Paletta still has a contract for four years and has interesting bonuses to do well with us.”
