Genoa midfielder Francesco Lodi is confident his new team can turn things around after their poor start to the season.
The summer signing, who arrived from Catania, has not tasted victory with his new club after defeats to Inter and Fiorentina.
“We have faced two very strong teams,” he told Sky Sport.
“But we have to look forward now.
“I’m confident that we can progress in the league, but first we have to lift our heads – starting with the next match against Sampdoria.
“The derby is a particular challenge, one that’s very important to the club and the fans,” he added.
Lodi made 90 appearances for Catania before his move to the Grifone, scoring 20 goals during that time.
