Former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi praised his former team on their “character” following the 2-0 Champions League win over Celtic but admits the injuries and “condition” of the Rossoneri players is a worry.
“Milan showed character,” the former Azzurri coach told Milannews.it.
Against Torino they recovered in an incredible way.
This time [against Celtic] they[Milan] seemed like they were going to fail but they managed to pull off a positive result.”
Luck is what one deserves, so evidently Milan deserve this. What worries me are injuries and physical condition, which still not optimal. ”
Sacchi coached Milan at two spells in the 1990’s, and was the last coach to retain a European Cup in its history.
