gonzalo-higuain-napoli-Former Napoli striker Roberto Sosa has complimented the club on their decision to replace Edinson Cavani with Gonzalo Higuain this past summer.

Cavani joined Paris Saint-Germain for €64.5 million after a three year spell in Naples which saw him net 104 goals in 138 appearances.

As a result of his departure, Napoli then spent €37m to secure Higuain from Real Madrid, who was also a target for Juventus and Arsenal.

“Higuain is a starter for the Argentine national side and, at the age of 18, he was already playing for Real Madrid,” ex-striker Sosa told Radio Marte.

“Cavani, meanwhile, is behind Luis Suarez and Diego Forlan in the Uruguay side.

“The Matador is more of a goal scorer, but Higuain is the more complete footballer. I’m convinced that Gonzalo will do very well in Naples.”

The Argentine scored his first goal for Napoli against Chievo in in Round Two of the Serie A season.
