Torino coach Giampiero Ventura admitted he had no regrets about his side only taking a point from their game with Hellas Verona.

Despite seeing his team twice lose the lead in the match at the Stadio Olimpico on Wednesday evening, Ventura admitted he had been impressed with the visitors.

“There is regret for having suffered two comebacks”, he conceded “At 2-1, we hit the post with Meggiorini; had the ball gone in, the game would have been over”.

However, with that chance, straight after Torino had gone ahead, having rebounded to safety, the Gialloblu were able to earn a penalty through Luca Toni, a player the Granata tactician went on to praise.

“Toni? The forward is an important point; he was a world champion”.

Having seen his side lose a two goal lead against AC Milan recently, the 65-year-old acknowledged that both sides earned their point in this match.

“Against Milan we left with great regret. In this case there is no regret, but it is a point gained because Verona impressed me.”
