Despite their impending derby with Juventus at lunchtime on Sunday Torino coach Giampiero Ventura has insisted that he and his side are not yet thinking of the game and are fully focused on their match with Hellas Verona on Wednesday.

With the Mastini already impressing against AC Milan and against their city rivals last Sunday the Granata coach warned that they will have to be very wary of the threat they face from the newly promoted side.

“We will start work for Juventus on Thursday,” Ventura told the press beforehand.

“First we have this challenge. We are not even using the word ‘derby’. We want to take full points in both games, that is the dream.

“Verona are a compact team who defend well and can be dangerous on the counter-attack.

“They have already played big teams like Milan and Juve and have done well.

“We’re going to have to be very careful.”
