Larrondo - TorinoTorino striker Marcelo Larrondo will now be out for a lengthy lay-off following an injury sustained in their match against Milan on Saturday.

The Argentinian-born attacker suffered a fracture to his right foot during the second half of the clash between the Granata and the Rossoneri and was eventually stretchered off shortly before Mario Balotelli equalized through a spot-kick.

The home side were enraged that play continued to go on while the player was injured, leaving them with a man down for the few minutes that led up to Milan being awarded a penalty for a foul on midfielder Andrea Poli.

Torino’s medical staff have confirmed that Larrondo suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot, which was not the first injury he suffered that evening.

In addition to his foot, the player appeared to have received some sutures to his lip following being hit by a wayward elbow from Rossoneri midfielder Nigel De Jong earlier in that same half.

The Granata were enjoying a two goal advantage only to see Milan pull one back through Sulley Muntari and Balotelli equalize about ten minutes later, resulting in both sides having to settle for one point each.
