Udinese are eyeing former Manchester United trialist Bruno Gomes, as a replacement for Liverpool target Luis Muriel

The 18-year-old Brazilian was expected to join the Red Devils earlier this summer, as the striker was having a trial at the club. However, while Sir Alex Ferguson has been a known admirer of Gomes, new United manager David Moyes has not been to keen on the youngster.

United have been long favourites to sign Gomes due to the club’s link with the player’s current team Desportivo Brazil. However, according the Daily Express, the Brazilian club can still legaly accept offers from other clubs if their bid is higher than that of the Premier League side.

Udinese are very interested in the striker as United not yet have decided to make a final offer and see him as a replacement for Luis Muriel, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool.

Twenty-two-year-old Muriel has been long linked with Liverpool as Luis Suarez has been rumoured to leave the club in the near future.
