AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli will miss the Rossoneri’s match against Udinese on Saturday due to a right thigh injury.

The 23-year-old has been in the headlines over the past few days after getting in a scuffle with a cameraman in Naples before scoring the equalizer in Italy’s 2-2 draw against Armenia on Tuesday night.

The former Inter and Manchester City star was set to return from his three-match Serie A ban this weekend but it appears as though his return will be delayed due to a right thigh injury.

“Mario Balotelli has reported a muscular pain in his right thigh. The player will be monitored in the following days to ascertain the extent of the problem and the appropriate treatment,” a statement read on the Rossoneri’s official website.

Milan will be hoping Balotelli can recover for Tuesday’s clash against Barcelona in the Champions League, though his presence is not certain at this time.
