Rafael Benitez believes that the Napoli fans are conveying a positive energy which is helping the club move forward under their new coach.
After an excellent start to life as head coach of Napoli, which has seen the Partenopei rise to second in the league and defeat Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, Benitez took to his official website to praise the club’s fans.
“With the fans passion they are conveying a positive energy.
“Their affection is really valued in a challenging season. The journey’s going to be long, but we have a competitive squad that is working to its maximum.
“We are working well and the team is growing. All the players are concentrating on taking this project towards its intended aims – not only for this year, but for next as well.”
The Azzurri have won seven of their opening nine fixtures this season with just defeat coming against Arsenal in the Champions League.
