Cagliari will return to the Stadio Sant’Elia on Saturday for their match against Catania, marking their first fixture at the stadium since April 1, 2012.

The Isolani will return to the stadium after a year of exile as the local council awarded them a security certificate on Wednesday evening.

Despite the go-ahead, the stadium is still undergoing work meaning only 5000 fans will be allowed in the Curva Nord and Tribuna areas according to Sky Sport 24.

Tickets will go on sale tomorrow meaning fans will have a limited amount of time to purchase tickets ahead of Saturday afternoon’s kickoff.

Cagliari sit in 14th place after playing their home matches at the Stadio Nereo Rocco in Trieste this season.
