Lazio boss Vladimir Petkovic’s job is reportedly under threat after the Biancocelesti and Apollon Limassol played to a goalless draw in Europa League action on Thursday.

The 50-year-old has come under pressure following the club’s recent performances as Lazio have picked up just one point from their last three matches as they currently sit in eighth place in the Serie A standings.

As a result the Serbian coach is at risk of losing his job according to Sky Sport and Gazzetta dello Sport after the Biancocelesti’s inability to defeat Apollon despite the club’s numerous scoring chances.

The former Sion coach reportedly had an hour long meeting with the team owner Claudio Lotito after the match and it is believed Petkovic’s position could be further evaluated after Sunday’s clash against Cagliari.

Petkovic has picked up 34 victories from 67 matches as Lazio coach since joining the club in 2012.
