Sassuolo coach Eusebio Di Francesco believes his team have learned from their mistakes in previous matches after picking up their first win of the season on Sunday.

The Neroverdi defeated Bologna 2-1 thanks to goals from Domenico Berardi and Antonio Floro Flores and Di Francesco believes lessons from earlier in the season have helped them to grow.

“We have learned to suffer, and in order to save ourselves there is no alternative,” he told Rai Sport.

“You can see that the mistakes we made in some of the previous matches have served as a lesson.”

Sassuolo now occupy 18th position in the Serie A table and face Catania in their next fixture.
