Torino defender Cesare Bovo has been ruled out for a month after suffering knee ligament damage during the Granata’s 2-2 draw against Sampdoria on Sunday.

Bovo was subbed off after only six minutes with what was thought to be a serious sprain to his knee.

Granata doctors confirmed that injury on Wednesday while mentioning that the former Palermo defender has also suffered damage to his ligaments that will keep him out for four weeks.

The Rome native will join the likes of Marcelo Larrondo and Guillermo Rodriguez on the sidelines.

Bovo has made four appearances for the Granata this season after joining the club from Genoa over the summer.
