Torino boss Giamperio Ventura was disappointed with conceding three goals against 10-man Inter, but he was happy with the way his players responded to being down late in the match.

In a thrilling encounter, the home side scored on a late freekick to salvage a draw against their opponents, who played with a man down for 85 minutes.

“Inter’s three goals were due to our errors,” Ventura said to Sky Sport after the match. “Fortunately I coach a side that never gives up and succeed in obtaining a result.

“Our group of players is one that must grow and we are looking to accomplish this process of growth.”

Ventura also singled out praise for Nicola Bellomo after his game tying goal.

“Bellomo is an investment for the club, and like all investments they need protecting; I give him my compliments.”

Ventura also expressed confusion as to why his counterpart Walter Mazzarri refused to talk to the media after the match in protest of the referee’s decision to send off Samir Handanovic in the 5th minute.

“I didn’t know Mazzarri wasn’t present, I’m surprised as well because I believe that today the refereeing situation was clear enough.”
