A 14-year-old boy sadly died on the field while playing a game for his local side last weekend.
Matteo Roghi was playing a youth football game in Abbadia San Salvatore which is on the border between Siena and Grosseto.
He was playing for his side Foiano della Chiana, located in Arezzo, when he took ill during the game against the Amiata opposition and unfortunately passed away.
This is not the first such tragedy to consume calcio after the passing on field of Livorno’s Piermario Morosini during a game against Pescara in 2012.
