Benitez: Arsenal more important than Borussia Dortmund

Benitez - NapoliNapoli coach Rafael Benitez has said the upcoming Champions League match against Arsenal is more important than their tie with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

The Partenopei sit level on points with Arsenal at the summit of Group F, with the threat of having to play the Gunners behind closed doors on 11 December after crowd trouble in their last tie at the San Paolo against Marseille.

“The match against Dortmund will be very important, but probably the one with Arsenal even more so,” Benitez told the press.

“It will be very difficult and we have to be focused 100%.”

On the domestic front Benitez spoke of a crucial run of games coming up now the international break has ended.

“Between one break and another we have eight games,” he said.

“The ones that lie ahead will be very important.

“The same applies for the final 10 games of the season in the fight for the Scudetto – I want to see my Napoli fight and win.”

The Spaniard also joked about the constant speculation surrounding the January transfer window.

“We have been paired with more than 50 players for January – I will have to ask the league to increase the squad size!” he said.

“For January I hope for something, but not all these names that have appeared in the papers

“I am meeting with [Napoli sporting director Riccardo] Bigon continuously with the window in mind.

“Someone will arrive, but not 50!”
